SENATOR DANIEL BISS AT INDIVISIBLE NAPERVILLE, JAN. 24
Senator Daniel Biss, one of the Democratic candidates for Governor of Illinois, spoke to a full house at the January meeting of Indivisible Naperville. Senator Biss holds a BA from Harvard and advanced degrees from MIT. Before becoming a state representative and senator, he taught mathematics at the University of Chicago.
Senator Biss shared his progressive vision for the state of Illinois. He has received endorsements from Planned Parenthood and the Illinois chapter of MoveOn.org, a progressive organization. He believes that he can make Illinois work for everyone, not just the ultra-wealthy by investing in schools, healthcare, the environment, and our communities. He believes that Springfield must create financial stability, take care of its residents, and invest in all communities around the state. Biss believes that our budget problems are fixable if we have fair taxation to provide for the critical services that Illinoisans need.
Litesa Wallace, Democratic Representative from Rockford, is his running mate.
We were also visited by two candidates, Ryan Hoffman, candidate for the 6th Congressional District, and David Stevens, candidate for DuPage Circuit Judge.
